Why Biological Fertilizers?

Biological fertilizers, often referred to as biofertilizers, are natural substances containing living microorganisms that enhance the nutrient quality of soil. These microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and algae, work symbiotically with plants to promote growth by increasing the availability of essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.

Unlike chemical fertilizers, biofertilizers are environmentally friendly and sustainable, as they improve soil fertility without polluting the ecosystem. They play a crucial role in organic farming by boosting plant health and resistance to diseases, reducing the need for synthetic inputs.

By fostering a balanced and healthy soil ecosystem, biofertilizers contribute to sustainable agriculture, ensuring long-term productivity and ecological balance.

ReGen Soil Conditioner

What Is It?

Our Soil Conditioner is a liquid solution with a highly concentrated, diverse, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) colony that works symbiotically with plants to provide them the nutrients required for plant growth as well as plant pathogen protection.

Treated pear tree with hundreds of pears mid-season, only produced 4 pears last year

How Does it Work?

Our soil conditioner is introduced to the soil in a liquid form. The liquid carries the bacteria into the soil where crop seeds have been planted. Plants deposit “root exudates” into the soil, these are carbohydrates that the bacteria use as an energy source.

The bacteria then produce ammonia, a nitrogen source for the plants. The plants and the bacteria work together to produce the chemical compounds that each needs to grow to maturity.

*The pear tree pictured has had hundreds of pears produced by mid-season, requiring pruning. Last year, before soil conditioner or biocarbon were applied, the same tree only produced four pears.

ReGen Soil Conditioner Advantages

  • General soil health and nutrient availability are increased, resulting brix (measure of sugar content) scores are significantly increased.

  • No concern for run-off contamination like with synthetic fertilizers

  • Encourages plant to accelerate Plant Growth Hormone (PGH) production, which in turn produces larger plants and shortens the grow season when compared to synthetic fertilizers and untreated plants

  • The bacteria colony has significant heat tolerance (up to 150F) which contributes to the hardiness and longevity of applications

  • Bacteria colony is able to go into a "spore" state when there is a lack of nutrient availability. When nutrition becomes available again, they colony "wakes up" and begins growing again

  • Acts as a probiotic for plants, improving immune system responses and total crop yields

  • Acts as a fungicide for some fast growing fungi such as "Brown Rot" and "Black Rot"

  • Has immune system boosting, general health benefits, and improved colony counts of bees used for cross pollination on industrial farms. Current studies underway in Washington state.

The biocarbon and Soil Conditioner treated blueberries pictured were infected with brown rot fungus prior to being treated with ReGen Soil Conditioner. The fungus was cleared up within 24-hours.
